High Street, Lincoln

Extension / Conversion / refurbishment of and existing commercial facility on the high street in Lincoln. Belvin worked with LK2 Architects, AWP Engineers, & AWP contract administrators to deliver the facility back to a functional building for the local area where an agreement with Rituals to let the building and trade for a period was agreed. The works consisted of removing existing cladding to walls, groundworks, new steel frame stairs to give access to flats to be converted at a later date, new major steels to create knock throughs to re-work the space plus temporary works, boxed sections, new roofing, Stonework repairs, external stair alterations, windows and doors, paths, new services, M&E, Joinery, plastering, decorations, flooring, IPS systems, Shop Front.
This development was completed in the middle of Lincoln high street with limited space and close intersection with pedestrians so planning and just in time deliveries were necessary to the successful delivery of the scheme. Due to this planning the scheme was delivered with no issues with the public and no contractors on site.
The works were completed for our long-standing client YMCA Lincolnshire & Wykeland and was the last of their capital project builds for the 2nd quarter of 2024.
The site is now a thriving space for all to enjoy with Rituals and Accessorise enjoying the refurbished spaces of the retail areas and trading is above what was predicted.
