Belvin Construction Limited are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join the expanding team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of construction sites within 1 hour's travel of the office in Nettleham. We have a range of clients in different sectors creating projects in commercial, housing, private residential, industrial and also the niche grand design type houses.
Responsibilities to include:
- Manage the high standards of quality on-site and ensure delivery of a quality build in accordance with the project specifications and project requirements.
- Understand the client’s requirements and always conduct themselves in a professional manner, whilst also being able to cultivate relationships with clients and their representatives.
- To ensure full compliance with all health and safety aspects. Fully understand the company’s H&S policy/strategy.
- Coordinate works from subcontractors on-site – ensuring programme adherence and quality is maintained to the high standards expected by our clients.
- Report directly to the Contracts Manager on programme, quality and Health & Safety.
- Undertake the works in the most economical manner to eliminate waste and avoid non-recoverable costs and losses. Monitor and work to agreed budgets.
- Contributing to work planning and briefing project teams, contractors and suppliers to include planning and programming daily site activities and labour.
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
- Maintain continuous development to ensure appropriate technical awareness of the build environment.
- Management of site housekeeping, discipline, behaviour and welfare facilities.
- Support the CM Team for the closure of defects during the defects period and assist in obtaining the certificate of Making Good Defects within targets set.
Essential
- Experience in delivery of projects in a similar role.
- Current SMSTS/First Aid certificate.
- Valid driving licence.
- Ability to accurately interpret programmes, drawings and technical specifications.
- Ability to manage and communicate with the team in a clear and constructive manner, to include subcontractors and clients.
- Experienced in the use of IT programmes such as Excel/Work/Outlook and Projects.

We are looking for a full-time experienced estimator to join our expanding team. The candidate will be responsible for all estimating for the company, estimating schemes from £50k to £12M. The candidate needs to ensure that the tender is prepared to the requirements and presented accordingly.
We are looking for someone with experience to enable them to work independently and manage their own time and workload.
The successful candidate will be able to identify appropriate work enquiries, collate information required for all estimates, appraise tender documents and complete bids.
To have experience in take-offs and have a thorough understanding of the building process and the required construction materials.
To have an understanding of budgets and costs.
To have a good eye for details and excellent with numbers.
Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to team members and clients.
To be prepared to provide regular reports to the Directors on tender enquiries and success rates in converting the work to live jobs.
The role is based at our offices in Nettleham, Lincoln.
